“YOU PLANT A TREE, WE BUILD A FOREST”
The campaign was initiated by ODTÜ and the Development Foundation in late 2013 to improve the ODTÜ Forest, which has since 1958 been built sapling by sapling by nature-lovers in the midst of the Central Anatolian steppe. A total of 160,000 trees have been planted to date. The ultimate aim is to plant 300,000 trees by November 2015, rehabilitating 2,560 hectares of forested area and foresting 1,000 hectares of barren or eroded land.
