METU is ranked 5th among the ‘’Most Successful Design Schools’’ of America and Europe according to the Red Dot Design Ranking 2017.The ranking is based on the Red Dot Awards won by universities in ‘’Design Concept’’ category in the last five years.
Red Dot Design Awards have been awarded by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany since 1955. This year USA has 5, UK has 3 and Germany, France, Sweden, Canada, Norway and Turkey have 1 education institutions in the list, respectively.
We congratulate and thank our academic staff and units, particularly our Department of Industrial Design, for granting our university Red Dot Design Award.
