Among 39 Technology Development Zones, ODTU TEKNOKENT Technology Development Zone ranked first in the "Technology Development Zones (TDZ) 2015 Annual Performance Index".
Data were collected by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology for 3 key components, 9 sub-components, 25 key indicators and 65 indicators for the Technology Development Zones Performance Index generated from the 2015 data. In the index study covering 39 TDZ which were active at the end of 2015, finance, incentives and infrastructure, R&D activities, incubation activities, institutionalization, sustainability and ecosystem development activities, technological product investment activities, R&D outputs and their international dimensions were evaluated.
According to the TDZ Performance Index results, ODTÜ TEKNOKENT ranked first with 62,52 points, İTÜ Arı Technopolis ranked second with 54,92 points, Bilkent Cyberpark ranked third with 50,42 points while the other TDZs in the first 10 ranking were Teknopolis İzmir, Erciyes Technopolis, Mersin Technopolis, Technopolis Istanbul, Dokuz Eylül University Technopolis (Depark), TUBITAK MAM Technopolis and Selçuk University Technopolis.
