In order to solve the traffic problem during weekends, protect the nature and to ensure that our guests remain unaffected by the traffic, a new procedure will be implemented at Lake Eymir of METU.
Within this application, transportation to the stops around the lake during Saturdays and Sundays will be managed by METU busses that take off from the lake's Gölbaşı and TRT parking lots. Furthermore, vehicular access to the Lake Eymir will be limited gradually.
The bus runs will begin in September 29th, 2012 and the busses will be operating continuously from 9.00 to 19.00. The bus service is available for our personnel and our guests with or without Lake Cards. During the entirety of the trial period of the new system, the bus service will remain free of charge. The bus schedule is given below.
With regards to this application, limiting of vehicle entrance during weekends will begin in October 13th, 2012. From that date on, vehicles will not be allowed to enter the lake during weekends between 11.00 - 18.00 and both our personnel and guests will be expected park their vehicles at Gölbaşı and TRT entrances' parking lots, then use the busses there as means of their transportation in during the season.
With evaluation of the results of this new application, the implementation will be expanded with the goal of completely prohibiting vehicles from entering the lake during weekends for seasons in which the lake is highly populated.
