STUDENTS
We strongly advise our students not to drive to Campus on the festival days, if possible, but rather to make use of public transport. Additional ring services will be provided during the Fest. (Re. www.tim.metu.edu.tr)
We specifically request that, during the Fest, our students be of help to the officials and observe the arrangements related to driving.
Vehicles with a ‘Student Vehicle sticker’
- Vehicles with Student Vehicle stickers will be allowed to enter the Campus only if the owner of the sticker is in the vehicle. Please be reminded that you are not supposed to let anyone else drive a vehicle registered in your name.
- Do not allow persons who are/are not a ODTÜ member-student-alumni to enter Campus in your vehicle without identity control.
- Entries and exits at Gate A-4: Arrangements regarding vehicle traffic in and around the festival area have been made for the festival period. Accordingly, vehicles with Student Vehicle stickers cannot enter Campus from the A-4 gate on May 7-8-9-10, Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday between 10:00-24:00 hrs. Similarly, their exit will not be possible from the A-4 gate between 08:00-23:00 hrs. on May 7-8-9-10.
- Car Parks: According to the arrangements made regarding the use of the car parks in the festival area, vehicles with Student Vehicle stickers will not be allowed to park in the following car parks: the Dormitories, the Old Housing, around the Tennis Courts, the shopping area pull-offs, the CCC, the Library, The Computer Center, Computer Engineering, Engineering Central Building, Civil Engineering – Coastal and Harbor, the Mosque, Environmental Engineering, K-2, Chemical Engineering.
- Students who have Student Vehicle stickers and are staying at the old dormitories are kindly requested to contact the Directorate of Dormitories to obtain information about the use of the car parks in the dormitories area.
- Our students may park their cars at the car parks to the west of the Alley (in the direction of Gate A-7). For this purpose, additional parking lots will be designated in the Gate A-2 area. In addition, after 18:00 hrs, the car parks of Technopolis and the Foundation School will be available for our guests to park their vehicles. There will be non-stop ring services between these areas and the festival area. (Visit www.tim.metu.edu.tr)
- Vehicles bearing Student Vehicle stickers are to leave these car parks and Campus by 24:00 hrs.
Invitation of guests
Each day of the Fest, our students may invite one guest, together with whom they will enter Campus. The guest will enter Campus under the responsibility of the student upon identity control.
- Your guests may enter Campus either in your vehicle, which bears a Student Vehicle sticker, or on foot with you. Your guests will not be allowed to drive into Campus even if you are accompanying them.
- It is of utmost importance that your guests be vigilant in abiding by the campus rules during the Fest.
